Fast forward 5 years later, having to put on contact lenses was a pain in the butt. Of course, I couldn't wear it to sleep so waking up in the morning, and not being able to see when I first opened my eyes was something many people take for granted. I remember wishing how good it would be to be able to see clearly when I wake up in the morning instead of trying to find my glasses. I remember going on trips and I have to pack all sorts of extra stuff : glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses, the casing, eyedrops, contact lens solutions, etc etc etc…wouldn't it be great just to pack sunglasses instead of all the other stuff?
Keeping our eyes healthy is very important to prevent age-related eye diseases such as macular degenerations, vision loss, dry eyes, cataracts and astigmatism. Do not take your eyes for granted.
How to maintain a good eye health?
One of the most important (and easiest) thing we can do to protect our eyes is to eat right. Protecting our eyes starts with the food on our plate. Eat food that are rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Carotenoids/Lutein, protein and B Complex as nutrition for your eyes. It is important to make sure you eat enough:
- Green, leafy vegetables such as spinach, kale and collards
- Salmon, tuna and other oily fish
- Eggs, nuts, beans and non meat protein sources
- Oranges and other citrus fruits or juices
Eating all the right nutritious food can also prevent other diseases such as Diabetes. This is important as Diabetes is one of the leading cause of blindness in adults.
One of the most important nutrients for our eyes comes from fruits and vegetables. They are carotenoids and found in yellow, orange and red pigmentation in fruits and vegetables. Carotenoids can help maintain healthy eyes and slows the progression of eye diseases. Taking supplements for the eyes are known to be beneficial but how many of us actually do take supplements purely for the eyes? Not many I'm sure. We see people taking care of their vital organs and for the heart but we often take our eyes for granted. We forget that as we age, our eyesight will deteriorate too and luckily, we have supplements such as the Super Lutein, we can consume to prevent age related eye diseases.
Here are some facts:
12 years study by Harvard researches found that those people with carotenoids in their diets were 39% less likely to develop serious cataracts
13 years study found that those with the highest intakes of carotenoids has a one-third lower risk of heart disease than those with lour intake
Men in the highest fifth of lutein and zeaxanthin intake had a 19% lower risk of cataract and women with the highest intake of lutein and zeaxanthin had a 22% decreased risk of cataract.
Super Lutein contains 6 types of carotenoids that will help protect and maintain our eye health. In fact, it was first designed for eye care but then they discovered that it can also help with overall health. As we age, our eyes lose vital nutrients. Living in today's digital society, we can't run away from being exposed to all the electronic devices (blue light) and harmful UV rays.
Super Lutein can act as a "sunglasses" to filter and protect our eyes from the harmful UV rays. It also provides antioxidant function to prevent our cells from being damaged. Other than that, it will also help prevent and stabilise macular degeneration. It helps support healthy eye ageing.

To maintain a good eye health, you need to:
1. Eat right. Remember your fruits and vegetables. Carotenoids, Carotenoids, Carotenoids! Google on how this is important for your eyes. Don't take my word for it, do your own research if you don't believe me!
2. Stop Smoking! Smoking causes nerve damage and macular degeneration and you are most likely to get cataract.
3. Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from the harmful UV rays from the sun
4. Cut down on blue light (from TV, computer, iPads, phone etc). If you can't because of your job or whatever, make sure you use anti-glare screen protector. It helps a little bit. Limit your time on your devices, especially for children.
5. Get your eyes checked regularly, especially your kids. Sometimes children don't know their eyes or vision is not so great. They sometimes don't know how to express it well so it is important you get their eyes checked regularly.
Can you put a price on the value of vision? Our eyes must rank high along with our heart and brain, don't you think? We owe it to ourselves to take care of our eyes because having good eye sight is incredibly valuable. Trust me.
This supplement is also suitable for children. If your child has vision issues, please start them on this supplement as it can really help them. These are some of the testimonials of our customers who are consuming Super Lutein Supplement for the eyes.
