It's her birthday

Last week, my maid celebrated her 33rd birthday. Last year, we celebrate her birthday because no one knows when her birthday is and a year went by and then I thought "how come we have never celebrated her birthday?". I looked in the passport and had an OPPSSS! moment. So not cool!

This year, I was determined to remember it but I almost didn't. Shoot me, I'm so bad with birthdays. Sometimes I don't even remember my family's birthdates. This year, again, I forgot about it until it was almost too late. I quickly WA my favourite baker and asked if she can squeeze in some cupcakes for me. I knew asking her to bake a cake for me with less than a day's notice is a bit pushing it so I opted for cupcakes. Turns out, she is already baking some and have some leftovers. I told her "I'll take whatever you have!"…desperate!

I didn't have time to look for a gift too. I quickly went on ZALORA and look for a gift. I saw a few nice stuff that I think she will like and I asked my daughter to pick one for her and my daughter picked this pink wallet.

Nice or not? LOL. Not exactly my taste but ah well, at least it comes from the heart. My daughter's heart. I also ordered some tops for her.

The wallet came on time and I quickly wrapped it without my daughter knowing. I don't want her to keep bugging me about who the gift is from. She can't really keep a secret. I just told her we need to look for a gift for someone and that was it. The tops I ordered never came. They are not directly from ZALORA apparently. Ah well.

The night before her birthday, in bed, I told my kids that they have to wish kakak Happy Birthday when they wake up in the morning and I said that they cannot fight with her on her birthday. They said ok. They're always arguing with each other that's why!

That birthday morning, we all got up early and wished her Happy Birthday. Kids was super excited.
After dinner, we had a singing / cake cutting ceremony for my maid.

Overall it was a good mini celebration I think. She thanked us.

Daughter: Mummy, I didn't fight with kakak today you know
Me: That's good. You cannot fight with her on her birthday, its not nice!
Daughter: but tomorrow it won't be her birthday anymore. Can i fight with her again tomorrow?

(asking me with a serious face and tone with her big eyes!) How not to laugh?

IZUMIO for Allergies

On Tuesday, right after dinner I noticed the left side of my daughter's lower lip is swollen! I panicked!!! I have never seen her lips like that before - EVER! I didn't know what was going on so I quickly gave her a packet of IZUMIO. IZUMIO is like our saviour! Everytime something happens, we just grab a pack of IZUMIO and wait for miracle to happen. This time is no different. My husband quickly took some ice on the lips. I asked if it was itchy or it is painful and she said no…but still!! Why is it so big - I have no idea but I was scared as hell. I called my best friend (who is a doctor) and asked her what to do. She told me that as long as her eyes aren't red, no fever, tongue is not swelling then I can just give her an antihistamine and told me how much to give and that was it. If the tongue starts swelling, she told me to go to the hospital to get a jab. Yikes. I was so worried.

After about an hour later, we saw that the swelling is slowly going down and before she went to bed, I gave her another pack of IZUMIO. I did not even give any antihistamine. The next morning, she woke up and everything was back to normal. Alhamdulillah!!! IZUMIO is da bomb!!!

I can make my own soap!

Remember this post? Last Sunday, I attended this Homemade Toiletries workshop organised by my business partner MamaPumkin. It was my first time attending workshops like this and I had fun. Initially, I wanted it to be my "me time" away from the kids time but the day before the workshop, my daughter's classmate's mum whatsapped me to tell me that she saw my name on the list and wondered if I will be taking my kids along because her daughter (who is my daughter's bff in school) will be coming along. When I told my daughter, she literally begged me to go. OK fine. I guess I can bring one kid. Then on the day of the workshop, my husband said he has something urgent to do and asked if I could bring my son along. Sure why not! There goes my "me time".

I ended up taking both kids and my maid along.

We were each given all these stuff and did it together. It was so cool. At first, my daughter sat with me and we did it together.

This is the body scrub. It was soooo easy to do my goodness! I'll be making these from now on. It took less than 5 minutes to do. And the ingredients can easily be found online or in this case, they use fine organic hilmalayan rock salt which you can buy in most supermarket.

Next, we were taught to make our own shower gel. That too was really easy!! I couldn't believe it!! Took under 5 minutes to make! By this time, both my kids wanted to help mummy out. Imagine that, both on my lap and both wanted to pour everything in the bottle.

The third thing we did was the body butter. This one takes a bit longer to do so instead of everyone doing it, only one person did it while everyone else watched and learn the process. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! By this time, kids had enough and decided to have their own little party.

My son was the only boy!And both my kids are the loudest. Mamapumkin had to shuhhhhh them a few times. It was so funny.

I came home and told my husband about the whole thing and he told me to make more to sell. WHAT???!!! No thank you…

But I am excited that I can now make my own toiletries because now, I can choose the smell I like….
I'm going to get some essential oil and make them. I think it will be a good christmas gift for my kid's teachers, what do you think???

Perfect gifts don't you think??? OK …next project will be this!!!

The Castle

Last weekend, for dinner, we went to The Castle to check out the food. It is fairly new this place, I think. We had no clue what kind of food they serve but figured it must be some middle eastern and that Sunday, we were up for some arab food.

I told my kids that we will be dining in the castle that night and they both, my daughter especially fefeeling royalty. When we got there, my son said "Me thought the castle is big. This castle so small!" LOL. He really thought we were going to a castle and I guess was shocked to see how "small" this castle is. But still, they both really think it is a real castle.

So anyways, their menu was quite food. If you enjoy middle eastern food, this place has everything. I opted for some mixed grill.

It was quite yummy. I loved it! I can't remember how much it was but I was surprised that it is cheaper than other places. If you see inside this restaurant, it is pretty exclusive. The inside of the restaurant looks like a big hall…like in a castle, with high ceiling and big chandelier and big huge windows. I can so picture having a party in here with a long table set up. Maybe for next year's birthday, I'll throw myself a dinner party here!

Anyway, I also ordered mango juice and it was so yummy and fresh. My daughter didn't like it because it was too thick but I absolutely loved it. She ate the mango and loved it. And asked us to order a whole plate of mangos for her. After she was done with her food, we did and came a huge plate of mangos. We laughed because it was TOO much but surprisingly we almost finished everything. It was really sweet and nice.

My husband ordered some lamb briani or mandi lamb (can't remember) and came this soup… I really have no clue what it is and I am beating myself up for not asking because now I don't know the name of this soup thingy but it was soooo nice. I don't know what is inside but it looked like mee hoon to me. LOL. It was really so nice that I finished it all. 2 bowls in fact - don't tell anyone! Also we ordered some tabbouleh salad. It is also the nicest I've had so far. A bit salty but somehow, that is what I like about it. I don't like salty stuff but this one works somehow.

After we were done with our food, they brought out these.. FOC (I think)…

Shoot me right now cuz I died and went to Baklava heaven! OMG!!!! It was da BOMB!!!!!!!!!! I finished it all…I only shared a small piece with my maid and finished everything all by myself. I remember when we were in Istanbul early this year, I ate this so much because it was so yummy. I've missed it and I remember trying it a few times here in KL but it is never as nice as the ones in Istanbul…
Well now, I don't have to go to Istanbul no more because I can get my baklava fix ala Istanbul here in the Castle!!! Hurray!!!!

Our bill (3 adults +2 children) came up to slightly below RM200. Not bad at all considering we had so much food!!! We all finished everything we ordered because everything was so yummy. Don't ask me why there weren't any photos of everyone else's food. I was too busy snapping photos of my own food I guess.

I'll be back!!!

MAybe this weekend…I feel like ordering the same thing again…

Mixed grill
That soup thingy
tabbouleh salad
Mango juice

Must try!!! Go!!!

Homemade Toiletries

My friend attended one of these workshop and she had so much fun. She was telling me about and it really sounded like something I'd be interested to try. I was so excited when she told me that there's another one coming up and asked me to join in.

I always love to learn new things. I love buying toiletries. So much so that my favourite hobby when I was in UK was shopping in Boots. You can find everything in there and I remember spending so much money buying all sorts of stuff.

The cool thing about this workshop is that they will be using organic products and essential oils. You know how essential oil is such a big thing now? Well, now is your chance to learn how to make your own toiletries.

I will be going for this. There's RM100 fee to cover the venue, cost of the oil and materials and also the trainer. You get to take home whatever you make that day. They will teach us how to make body wash, moisturiser and body scrub. RM100 and you get to take home 3 items. Not bad right?

If you would like to join me, please visit this Facebook Page and register there. Or if you want, you can email me and I'll help you to get registered. Come!! Come!!! Seats are limited so hurry up!!!

I already told my husband he has babysitting duties this Sunday because I want to attend this. I might even take my daughter along…. Could be fun for her

Improving your wellbeing

Since I started consuming IZUMIO and Super Lutein, I've been really healthy. I've been healthy all along, I don't have any health issues or anything like that but I am older now. When you are older, you get aches and you get tired easily. With 2 young children that I need to look after and care for, I cannot afford to be sick. I cannot afford to be weak and I cannot afford to have body aches because I'm always on the go with my 2 children. Now that I am the official "driver", I spend at least 3 hours in the car everyday driving my daughter to and from school. It is tiring, ok. But so far, I feel good.

I have not been sick or weak in a long time now. Remember when I had my dengue? That was really hell for me because I had to be away from the kids for a few days and I couldn't do the things I had to do and it was such a hassle for the whole family. Being weak at home and the kids bugging me to cook (no one else cooks in this house) and bugging me to play is so not fun!

During the haze, we weren't really indoors pretty much the whole time. We did go out (to supermarket, shopping malls, shops etc) and kids did get a little bit of flu and whatnot. My throat did itch and we all did get cough here and there but really, it wasn't bad at all considering we still go out and all. We have not touched medicine in almost a year now and I believe it is thanks to Super Lutein and IZUMIO.

So many children are taking these wonderful supplements for their immune system including my own kids. I wouldn't give them anything else. Taking these supplements doesn't mean that we won't fall sick at all but it means that we will recover quicker and make our bodies stronger. For now, my kids have not touched paracetamol or cough medicine in almost a year now which is fantastic. But must always remember that these aren't medicine. IF you are really sick, you will still need to see the doctors and get medical attention but these supplements will help you recover quicker and not rely on medications so much. So maybe instead of taking 5 days of meds from the doctor, you will only need to take it for 3 days (for example) with the help of these supplements. Recovery period is shortened and that's always good.

We have so many customers taking these products for all sorts of things. I am glad that I feel good and my family is healthy, alhamdulillah.
I'm so grateful to have found this products and will continue to share about it here. Best part is, I get paid for sharing too! Isn't that awesome? Passive income is always good! I am also looking for business partners to join my team so if you are looking to earn some passive income, come and join my team. We are the fastest growing team in Malaysia! We are the best!

Whether you want to be a consumer or you want to do the business with me, you are more than welcome.

What are you waiting for? Don't wait until you are sick to try these supplements. Start now! Get your parents and aunts and uncles and in laws to try them…trust me you won't regret it!

Trophy Wife

This morning, my girlfriend and I was discussing about Trophy Wife and we just discovered that both our definition are wrong. LOL.

To my friend, a trophy wife is someone who is pretty but an airhead. Basically just someone who looks good beside the husband. A complete bimbo but someone pretty the husband likes to show off to his friends.

To me, a trophy wife is someone who is an all rounder. She cooks, she cleans, she can bake, she looks good, can take care of the kids, house is spotless and she does it all in stilettos. You know..that kind of wife. Something I want to be but fail miserably, of course.

Turns out, both our definition is wrong. According to wikipedia….

Trophy wife is an informal term for a wife, usually young and attractive, who is regarded as a status symbol for the husband who is often an older and wealthy "sugar daddy".

A trophy wife has little personality merit besides her looks and requires substantial costs for maintaining her looks. In other words "gold digger"

OK I am definitely not a trophy wife!!! And I just realised that now. All along I thought I was one, based on my own definition! Thank God I didn't announce it to anyone but my friends…

OK fine.. I'm an airhead!

Toy Princess

My daughter is learning about George Stephenson for history in school. Don't ask me about him because I don't know much except that he's an engineer and he invented the railway line or something like that. I guess the kids are learning about invention now or something.

For one of the stuff they had to do is write a thing they want to invest and draw it. This is what my daugher wrote and drew. When I saw this, I wanted to laugh. It is so cute and funny.

So she wants to invest a toy princess! LOL. Someday she will be famous for this! Hahaha...

What I find funny is, initially, she wrote "Elsa" hahah.. The teacher must have told her you cannot invent Elsa. She erased it and wrote toy princess instead. With spelling error too!

The best part about this is the drawing. She can't draw yet but obviously since starting big school, they've had to draw quite a few stuff already. She drew this "toy princess" with a tiara on her head and wearing this dress that has "I love my mummy" written on it.

My daughter is so sweet. I know she's thinking about me when she drew this. I know it.

Love her

I love my mum

My mum turned 63 on the 11 November 2015. I still cannot believe she's 63. I don't even know if she seems younger or older than 63 but I wish I'm not counting because every year she's getting older and I want her to be with me forever.

I don't know how to describe my love for my mum. It is really OUT OF THIS WORLD kind of love. I think she's my number one love. For real. Like I don't love anyone else more than I love her. But I'm such a bad daughter. I don't spend enough time with her and I wish life is different for her sometimes.

My mum is the strongest person I know. Now that she's older, she is a bit more vulnerable and sensitive but during her younger days, OMG..this lady is fearless! We make fun of her now because she is super sensitive now and easily merajuk but I think its normal, she's not young anymore.

We didn't get to do anything on her birthday because it was a weekday and she was fasting too that day. She is still working and by the time she is back from work…my kids will already be tired and have to be in bed for school the next day. But the next day after her birthday, I took her out for breakfast.

I don't know why I don't do this more often but I should and I promise I am going to. We didn't go anywhere fancy. We had breakfast at this malay restaurant near Kelana Jaya. My mum is a fussy eater (just like my daughter) and she is so fussy about everything when it comes to food. She will only go to a few places to eat so I let her choose and she chose this normal restaurant. She had lontong which was yummy and I had soto and it was yummy too!!!

We spent about an hour before she had to rush to work but it was quality time indeed with my favourite person in the world.

I pray Allah will bless her dunia and in akhirat. She's had a tough life (because of my dad) and I hope Allah will give her happiness if not here, in akhirat later. I love her to bits!
I cannot imagine life without her!

Happy Birthday Mummy. We love you forever and ever…..

Juice Junkie

I'm a juice junkie. I buy juices from pretty much anywhere and everywhere. I've been getting my fresh juices from a friend and her juices are really yummy as you can see from this post but whenever I'm out, I like to also try new juice bars.

Last week, I was in One Utama and I insisted I want to have Japanese food. Remember this post when I said I will make sure I have a nice meal of my choice at least once a week? Well, this week, I was planning to go alone but since everyone didn't suggest (yet) what they wanted to eat, I used my kuasa veto and said let's go Japanese. I think everyone didn't have a say because for the first time, I didn't ask for anyone's opinion and off we went. Surprisingly it wasn't as fulfilling. Maybe I wasn't all that hungry. On the way to the restaurant, we walked past this juice bar Life Juice. I have heard or seen this on instagram before and thought I'd give it a try.

I was really disappointed when I saw they were almost SOLD OUT. There was only few bottles of Nutty Professor left. What the hell! Nutty Professor is their chocolate/nut drink. They told me that they will be getting new batch in an hour, so I thought ok fine, after dinner, I'll drop by again on the way back. Still, after dinner, there weren't any new juices. I was so upset and just bought 1 bottle of Nutty Professor.

I drank it as soon as I got home and I was in LOVE!!! It is so yummy. I've tried similar ones from La Juiceria and although it was ok, this was DA BOMB! La Juiceria tasted slightly diluted but maybe because the ingredients are slightly different - I don't know. But whatever it is, this Nutty Professor instantly became my favourite drink in the whole wide world!!! I was beating myself up because I only bought 1 bottle!!! Damn!

For the next few days I was craving it badly. I looked online and saw that they have an outlet close to my house at the Intermark. If you see this photo, it looks like the non-halal sign is for the juice bar right? Don't worry, it's not. It's actually the stall behind it.

The guy at the bar told me that their juices is best consumed within 48 hours. I wanted to try ALL of their juices but I don't think I can consume everything within 48 hours so I decided to only get a few first.

This was what I got:
2 Nutty Professor because I can drink it everyday!!! I love it so much
1 Citrus Blast (orange, chokonan mango, apple, lime, lemon and cayenne) - shared this with my son and he loves it. In fact, he drank it more than me. I quite like this one too but I would prefer it to have more orange taste I think.
1 Salad in a bottle (cucumber, spinach, parsley, romaine, celery, apple, jicama, lemon) - for a green juice and for someone who doesn't eat salad and doesn't like salad, this was quite tasty. Again, I would prefer it to have more apple taste.
1 Kiss from a rose (almonds, rose petal, medjool dates, beetroot, himalayan sea salt) - first few sips I was like OMG!!! This taste like heaven on earth. For real. It is super nice!!!! I'm not a fan of rose tasting food/drink but this was yummilious!!!

So now I found a new best friend!! Love this place and will be back to try out more. They have outlets in One Utama, Intermark, IOI City Mall, Atria, Gardens, Empire and also at The Club Bandar Utama.
I'm so excited because they are near me. Apparently they deliver too I think.

I can't remember how much I paid for but for all 5 bottles was about RM70 plus I think… It is literally 5 minutes drive away from my house to Intermark and RM5 parking. Quite expensive but it's worth it!

My new favourite drink in the world, ladies and gents! Thanks for coming into my world you nutty professor you!

Shopping at Jakel Mall

My youngest sister in law is getting married InsyaAllah in January. Our family has decided to wear pink for the reception and my mother in law was so kind to buy all of us fabric to make our baju kurungs and baju melayus. I don't really enjoy going for fabric shopping. I guess too many options just gives me headache. I am not very good choosing fabric too and I often end up buying the wrong type or something that doesn't match. I am easily influenced by the sales person and a big time sucker. So, Jakel shopping, isn't my cup of tea and isn't something I do very well.

For my sister in law's wedding, my mother in law has already sponsored the fabric. Under normal circumstances, I will just ask for the theme colour and just buy something readymade or get a batik. I am a batik fan but this time since my mother in law already bought the fabric, I have no choice but to get it made. I texted my regular tailor and she told me she is already full and won't be able to take my order. I was so disappointed and sad but luckily, my mother in law's tailor is available still. Well, at least I hope she is. I need to get it sent for tailoring ASAP.

One day, I was browsing for baju kurung designs and found this one design that I like. It's a short round neck modern baju kurung with pleated skirt.

It's really simple but pretty and I think the fabric my mother in law bought for me will be perfect for this. But, I have to get a plain fabric to match that. Hence, I needed to make a trip to Jakel.

I've never been to the new building Jakel Mall. It's huge! I drive past this building all the time because it is nearby Naturally Plus's office. I always see so many people at the Jakel Mall. There's always something going on. Today, I went alone. I planned to buy the plain fabric and off. I valet parked in front of the building and paid RM10.00 for it. But it is so convenient. Right in front of the main entrance.

There was so many people waiting to assist you there. You will have no clue where to go (unless you are like my mother in law who is a regular there). The place is huge. This lady came up to me and asked me what I was looking for. I showed her the photo of the baju kurung that I want to make and immediately she took me to level 1. What I needed was plain chiffon fabric to match my pink fabric that my mother in law bought for me. It was quite easy and straightforward. I also ended up buying lining because chiffon is quite thin and see-through.

In that photo that I showed her, the baju kurung has some beadings around the neck and sleeve. The lady told me that they have readymade ones took me to have a look. Tailoring for beadings will cost more anyway. It is much better to just get readymade ones (I think!). Then I saw these bling-bling fabric. Instead of plain chiffon, why not get these as the skirt instead, right? Gosh!!! I suddenly couldn't decide.

But luckily I knock some senses into my own head and decided to stick to the plan. I mean, it is not MY wedding and I just want something simple anyway. The pink fabric is the one my mother in law bought for me and those were the readymade beadings I shortlisted.

They're all very beautiful. I just didn't know what to do so I took photo of each and every one of them individually. Finally, I made up my mind……

The plain pink fabric is the skirt (which I will be pleated long skirt) and the top will be a short kurung with beadings at the bottom, around the neck and one the sleeves. Can you picture it???

It's going to be so cun, right???

Fingers crossed!!! I love weddings!

Today I went to the tailor and she said she can't do the pleats skirt *cries a river*
So sad!!!!!!
Apparently you need a special sewing machine for that and she doesn't have that machine!

Happy Deepavali

Happy Deepavali to all my blog readers celebrating this festival. May all of you be blessed and may this festival illuminate your path towards better health and joyous life.

I don't normally do anything during Deepavali but this year, I attended a Deepavali open house. It was my first, I think. Kids had so much fun because my friends brought their kids too. We adults were there for the food and to chit chat, of course.

The open house was very muhibbah. I all all races there enjoying each other's company and enjoying the good food. It was good fun!

Turning into Elsa

It is Saturday today and I was hoping I could get up late but my dear son just HAD to wake up at 7am and bug me for milk. Sometimes I wish he is still breastfeeding. That way, I can just lift up my top and nurse him and sleep at the same time but noooooo! I had to get up just to make milk. How annoying. I slept late last night watching Ellen and now I feel like a zombie!! On a Saturday? Not so funny!!!
So NOT funny!
I've been in a zombie grumpy mood since morning. My eyes are hurting too. To make it worse, I have to drive all the way to PJ for my daughter's maths class. Argh. I am really in a bad mood right now.

Anyway, I walked over to the big mirror in my living room to tie my hair and suddenly I found WHITE HAIR!!! uwaAAAAAAaaa!!!!! I freaked out because it is THERE! Right there! Staring at me. WTH!!!!! I'm so not ready for this. Not at 7am!!!! That certainly woke me up!!!

In front of the mirror, I was talking to myself

Me: OMG, I found white hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My daughter: OMG I think you are going to be Elsa!

Elsa is not so bad, right???

Just for fun….
This sales person in Dior KL is STILL sending me photos of the latest bags. I don't know why he is still sending them to me as if I can afford to buy them every month!! Like, hello!!! He's become like a BFF because he is constantly sending me photos of their latest bags and kept asking me when I can come over. I don't want to go because it is not in my budget to buy. I don't want to go if I can't buy. But I've been drooling over this yellow bag so much until I can't sleep. (Yellow is my favourite colour and grey is my favourite combo for yellow!) This bag is made for ME!!!!
I've been drooling over this car for ages. Since it first came out until now. No chance of me getting a car anytime soon but it is such a nice car for me. I will look so hot in it! This is why I need to work. To buy what I WANT to buy instead of waiting for my husband to buy them for me.

Just for fun…Let's drool together...

Easy Spaghetti Aglio Olio

Believe it or not, this is the first time I'm making this. I don't know why I haven't made this before because it is super easy to do and super duper yummy. We have this when we eat out but somehow just never made this at home.

Tonight, my husband is out for dinner. He will be tapau'ing food for me so I guess I won't be cooking for myself tonight. I wanted something simple for the kids and I have all the ingredients to make this simple spaghetti meal.

Here's what you need:

  • Squid
  • Prawns (I mash them because otherwise kids won't eat them!)
  • Garlic
  • Italian Parsley
  • Some cherry tomatoes
  • Olive Oil
  • Spaghetti

Simple right?

To do:
1. Boil water and add some olive oil and salt. Add the spaghetti.
2. Heat some olive oil in the pan and throw in the garlic. Leave it until the garlic becomes golden brownish.
3. Add the squid, prawns and tomatoes. Season with some salt and pepper.
4. Add in the spaghetti and finally the parsley

It was really yummy and the kids finished their food. If it was for me, I would probably add some cili flakes too or eat it with my sambal bajak. I really do eat EVERYTHING with this sambal!

Today I'm happy because I didn't spend much time cooking in the kitchen and kids are both full! Days like this I'm so happy!

IZUMIO and Super Lutein for Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic progressive disease causing inflammation in the joints and resulting in painful deformity and immobility especially in the fingers, wrists, feet and ankles.

Symptoms of RA:

  1. Tender, warm swollen joints
  2. morning stiffness that may last for hours
  3. Firm bumps of tissue under the skin on the arms
  4. Fatigue, fever and weight loss
Early RA usually effects smaller joints first like the joints attached the fingers to your hand or the toes to the feet. They then spread to other parts like the wrists, knees and elbow. These symptoms usually occurs in the same joints on both side of the body.

At first glance, RA may seem the same as gout because they both causes redness, swelling and pain in the joints. That's the only similarities because other than these, both diseases are different. To differentiate between these two, a series of tests needed to be done and fluid may also need to be drawn from the inflamed joints for testing. RA usually affects more woman than men and Gout is actually the other way round so if you are unsure, make sure you get it tested first as their symptoms can be similar.

I was looking at photos of RA and it is pretty scary. There is no cure for RA too. Medications given by Doctors are actually only to reduce the inflammation in the joints in order to relieve the paint and to prevent or slow the damage of the joints. Occupational therapy can also help by educating on how to protect the joints. If joints are severely damaged, surgery may be necessary.

Drugs and medications used to threat this condition have serious side effects. This includes:
  • Ringing int he ears
  • Stomach irritation
  • Thinning of the bones
  • Liver & kidney damage
  • Diabetes
  • Severe lung infections
  • Increase risk of infections
Whenever possible, please AVOID drugs. Treat and manage any illnesses the most natural way possible first as drugs will have negative side effects and when it is consumed in the long term, can cause other health problems.

Those suffering from RA should consume food like:
  • Pineapple, Salmon, whole grain breads, green tea and Tumeric - these are good for as it reduces inflammation and anti inflammatory. Tumeric is also good as antiseptic
  • Bananas contains high level of magnesium and potassium and it is good for bone density
  • Blueberries which is rich in antioxidant and it can improve the condition

Oh my BM!

My kids don't speak Malay at all except for a few words here and there. My eldest understand Malay, I think but she can't speak it. My son? He totally doesn't get it. I've been trying to introduce the language to them but unfortunately I've not been very successful because I'm not consistent.

Tonight, my daughter asked me how to say a few things in Malay. She was interested to know and I think it is because she's learning the language in school and knows more about it now.

We had a few good rounds and laughing out butts off because my son was really being silly.

In bed, my daughter said to me "Selamat Malam, Ibu!" And I laughed. She continued saying "Ibu is mummy, right!?" And started calling me Ibu.

So cute and funny!

We need more practice!
